ALN uses Google Groups to support a variety of mailing lists for the Alaska Library community. These mailing lists allow staff and volunteers of Alaska Libraries to work together to share information on a particular topic. To provide a safe, economical, and secure environment the mailing lists are restricted to only Alaska Library staff and volunteers.
Any staff or volunteer of an Alaska Library may request to join any or all of these groups by completing the form at http://www.aklib.net/help/aln-mailing-list-form/ .
Alaska Digital Library Info (email@example.com) – General information about the Alaska Digital Library (Overdrive).
Alaska mAKers (firstname.lastname@example.org) – Topics of interest to the Maker community in Alaska libraries.
Alaska Public Libraries (email@example.com) – Discussions about Alaska public library activities and topics.
Alaska Tech (firstname.lastname@example.org) – Tech issues for Alaska libraries.
WordPress Users Group (email@example.com) – A forum for discussing WordPress issues and news.
These groups have a defined/restricted membership. If you believe that you should be part of a group, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request addition to the group.
Advantage Alert – Alerts are sent to Overdrive Advantage libraries when there are a high number of holds and zero Advantage copies.
ALN Board – Board members of the Alaska Library Network, the Alaska State Librarian, and the ALN Executive Director.
ALN Member Directors – Directors of Alaska Library Network members.
Alaska Digital Library Directors – Directors of Alaska Digital Library partners.
Alaska Library Development – Staff of Library Development, contractors for Erate, Early Literacy, and School Libraries, and the ALN Executive Director.
SLED Advisory Group – Members of the SLED Advisory Group.
