Alaska Books for Alaska Kids grew out of a series of conversations between librarians, children’s book authors, and children’s literature professors. There are so many books written about Alaska that even for those of us working in the state, it can be hard to keep track of them. Some of the books are marvelous, well researched or with first hand knowledge and cultural sensitivity. Others are not. This was our attempt to add a bibliography to keep track of the best and most popular books about Alaska for youth.
